Millions of subscribers have left AOL for local internet services. In December, a financial columnist debated putting Steve Case on Santa Claus's "naughty" list. Among AOL's faults? "Your legacy has inflicted yet another Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie upon the world."
AOL users suffer a backlash. Net-legend James "Kibo" Parry even suggested the complaints about AOL users could best be accommodated by creating a new underclass of scapegoats. Parry would accomplish this by establishing a new a service -- called "CrappyNet"....
